C9012 PNP Small Signal Transistor Datasheet

Introduction

The C9012 is a PNP Small Signal bipolar junction transistor (BJT) that is used in low-power amplification and switching applications. It’s a general-purpose transistor commonly found in audio amplifier stages, signal processing circuits, and driver circuits in consumer electronics.

The C9012 transistor (sometimes labeled as 2SC9012, S9012, KTC9012 or KEC9012) is a small-signal PNP transistor housed in a TO-92 package. It is designed for low voltage and low current applications and is highly popular in DIY electronics, Arduino projects, and audio preamplifiers.

C9012 vs. KTC9012

C9012 — Generic / Chinese designation (often marked simply “9012”) Commonly found in low-cost consumer electronics.
KTC9012 — Prefix “KTC” stands for Korea Electronics / KEC Corporation. Same transistor type, made by KEC, a South Korean semiconductor manufacturer.

So, KTC9012 is just the manufacturer-specific version of C9012, with identical electrical characteristics and pin configuration.
